Getting Started
ZetCast uses podcast technology to deliver broadcasts. A podcast is a pre-recorded audio show that you can listen to via the Internet, or download and listen to whenever you want. The term ‘podcast’ combines “iPod” (a popular portable music player) and “broadcast”. Podcasting has many advantages over traditional radio broadcasting….
- You can use any device that plays mp3s, such as your PC, laptop or mp3 player to listen to podcasts. It’s not just iPods!
- You don’t have to tune in at a specific time. You listen whenever it suits you
- You can ’subscribe’ to shows so new episodes are delivered to you automatically. There’s no hunting on the Internet to find the shows you want, they come to you

How to listen
There are various ways to listen to ZetCast broadcasts. The simplest is by clicking the “Listen Now” buttons on the *front page*. This launches the ZetCast media player and the show will begin to play (you may experience a delay before playback starts, depending on your Internet connection)
Alternatively you can launch the ZetCast media player in a pop-up window, allowing you to browse the ZetCast website without disrupting playback. This is done by clicking the “Play in Popup” link.
To download a show to your computer, right-click the “download” link and choose “Save Target As”. You can then store the show on your computer’s hard drive, transfer it to a mobile playback device, burn to CD etc.
To subscribe to a show, or to all of ZetCast’s output, use the relevant ‘RSS’ or ‘iTunes’ link. The process of subscribing will vary depending on the software you use to aggregate (collect) your podcasts. Please refer to our *site features* section for more
